Privacy Policy
Effective: 2026-07-26 · Last updated: 2026-07-26
This Privacy Policy describes how Gold Price Today & Calculator handles information. The application is provided and maintained by its independent developer.
No account. There is no sign-up, no login, and no cloud sync operated by the developer.
What the app stores. Your gold items, photos, saved quotes, notes, alerts, and preferences are stored locally in the app's private storage. The developer does not operate a server that stores this content and cannot access or restore it. Depending on your operating-system and device-backup settings, some local app data may be included in a device backup controlled by you or the platform provider.
What leaves the device. Price requests contain only the currency code and the chart range being requested, plus the standard technical information any internet request carries, such as your IP address and a generic app user-agent. No holdings, calculations, notes, or images are ever sent.
Third-party services. The app uses Gold API for gold-price information, Exchange Rate API for currency conversion, Cloudflare to deliver and cache historical chart data, and Google AdMob and the User Messaging Platform for advertising and privacy choices. These services may receive standard network information such as IP address, request time, device or app information, and the specific market-data request. They do not receive your saved gold items, calculations, notes, or attached photos from the app.
Advertising. The app shows ads from Google AdMob to stay free. Google Mobile Ads may process the device IP address, approximate location derived from the IP address, advertising or app-related identifiers, ad and app interactions, and diagnostic information such as app launch time and SDK performance. The exact data processed may depend on the device, consent choices, region, and ad-serving mode. Google acts as an independent controller for its own purposes. Where the law requires it, a consent screen from Google's User Messaging Platform appears before ads are requested, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from Settings. Ads never receive your holdings, quotes, calculations, notes, or images, and none of that information is attached to an advertising identifier.
On iOS, App Tracking Transparency permission may be requested before the advertising identifier is accessed. If you decline, the Google Mobile Ads SDK will not receive the IDFA. The type of ads served will depend on your privacy choices, applicable law, and the available Google ad-serving mode. All app features remain available.
Analytics. The app does not include a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK such as Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. Google Mobile Ads may still process advertising interactions and diagnostic information as described in the Advertising section.
Notifications. Price alerts and the optional reminder are generated on this device by the operating system. Permission is asked only when you enable an alert, and the app remains fully usable if you refuse.
Photos. If you attach a photo to a gold item, the image is copied into the app's private storage on this device and is not uploaded by the app.
Children. The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their information.
Security. Network requests are sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Personal app content is stored in app-private storage on the device. Reasonable technical measures are used to reduce unauthorized access, but no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your control. Settings → Delete all app data erases everything the app stores on this device. Uninstalling the app also removes it. Because there is no account, the developer holds nothing else to delete. A copy held in a device backup you control is removed through your own backup settings.
